Problem
A-dec operated two legacy immersion lines—one for steel, one for aluminum—using outdated, hazardous chemistry that conflicted with their core values. The company faced rising disposal costs, was classified as a Large Quantity Generator (LQG) of hazardous waste, and lacked service support.

Action
CPI formulated a custom chemistry that eliminated heavy metals, reduced energy consumption, and improved coating performance. In addition, this solution allows for running an integrated spray line in the future, helping to meet A-dec’s long term efficiency objectives.
